‘Tis the season to be jolly, and there’s nothing that makes me merrier than some good food. Christmas is a time where the healthy eating plan goes out of the window and instead I attempt to eat my weight in Quality Street. One thing I’m not a fan of however, is Christmas desserts. I can’t stand Christmas Pudding, and Christmas Cake isn’t much better. Here’s a quick and easy dessert that avoids all the boozy fruity stuff:
- 500g cream cheese
- 400ml double cream
- 1 chocolate orange
- 200g biscuits (hobnobs or digestives work well)
- 100g unsalted butter
- Break up the biscuits in a bowl with a rolling pin until they’re in fairly small pieces (the kids love doing this bit).
